AISO 9000 - 2000 Standards
ISO (International Standardization of Organizations)
is an international standardization organization. In
Turkey, TSE (the Turkish Standards Institute) initiated
product-oriented certification studies and awarded the
first certifications to health organization in 1996.
From then on, many hospitals in Turkey were awarded
with the ISO 9000 certificate.
 The
ISO 9000 standards explain the basics of the quality
management system and establish
the terminology for quality methods.
 The
ISO 9001 standard establishes the quality management
system conditions required
to be fulfilled by a corporation to increase customer
satisfaction and to conform
to pre-determined standards and norms.
 The
ISO 9004 Standard serves as a guide on the basis of
the efficiency and productivity
of the quality management system. The purpose is to
enhance
performance
and to satisfy customers.
 The
ISO 19011 Standard is a guide for the quality and environmental
management systems.

JCI (Joint Commission International)
It is the documentation proving that the corporation
has fulfilled all requirements for the development of
the patient care quality, for the minimization of risks
by providing a safe environment for patients and employees,
and for constant improvement within the framework of
a series of standards established by JCI. The JCI standards
could be grouped under two main headings as patient-oriented
standards and organization-oriented standards.

JCI is a non-profit affiliate involved in international
certification activities of JCAHO (Joint Commission
on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations) acting
in America. Up until today, JCAHO certified about 23.000
hospitals in America while JCI awarded certificates
to nearly 30 hospitals throughout the world including
3 in Turkey.
Magnet Approval Program
This is a program approving the excellence of nursing
services in health care organizations. The said excellence
is based on;

Magnet serves as a magnet for nurses equipped with

The Magnet Approval Program is a document granted by
the ANCC (American Nurses Credential Committee) which
is a sub-committee of the American Nurses Association.
Up until now, a total of 73 certifications are awarded
to 1 British and 72 American organizations. At AMC,
our objective is to become the first ever Turkish hospital
to be awarded with the Magnet Approval.
